Augsburg – Poker has become more popular in Germany than ever before. Now there will even be poker games during AMERICANA, Europe’s premier fair for western riding and western culture. From September 3 to 6, visitors will have the opportunity of qualifying for the big final on Sunday, September 7.

Three times a day, they play poker’s most popular version „Texas Holdem no limit“ at eight tables – a version you can easily learn in a few minutes due to its simple game rules. The winners of each table enter the final on Sunday with prizes worth about EUR 6000.-. The first prize will be a flight to Las Vegas for two persons including hotel room and nomination for two tournaments of the legendary „World Series of Poker“, the inofficial Poker World Championship.

But of course the focus is on the pure fun of poker. The terms of the game were set in a way that guarantees optimum fun and fairness for all players. Long blinds (increase of basic stakes) and a great number of Startchips (Starting Stack) guarantee fair and relaxed conditions even for poker beginners.

The tournament is professionally organized by the company Pokerevents, which is also the organizer of the very successful German Poker Fair in Berlin.
Besides the tournament, there is a professional poker sale and schooling area both for beginners and professional players. For instance, a two hour crash clinic for poker is available for only EUR 15.--. Fancy food and drinks are available close by in the original „Red Grizzly Western-Saloon“.

Players can nominate for the tournament via internet directly at the organizer’s website www.pokerevents.de  . In order to compete, you must be at least 18 years old, have an Americana ticket and pay an entry fee of EUR 10.-.
