EC 2008: Jan Boogaerts wins Junior Reining

Scoring a 214 Shorty Rooster and Jan Boogaerts won the Junior Reining Open. The 4-year-old mare by Gallo Del Cielo is owned by Caroline Jan Ekkart (BEL). Lil Uss Peppy and Dave R. Young received silver scoring a 213. The horse is owned by Paul Van Hooft (NED). Great Elite Gay (owner Alexandra Beermann, GER) and Michael Saupe got bronze scoring a 211.5.
Senior Western Riding: all three medals remained in Germany
The Senior Western Riding was dominated by Germany this time who won all three medals. The new European Champion is Cee Taris Sushine with Silke Woitaschek in the saddle scoring a 215.5.The silver medal was won by Instant Impulse and Julia Schnabel (Score 214.5). The gelding is well known, as he was tremendously successful in various disciplines under Julia’s brother Felix Schnabel. Whenyourhotyourhot (owner Maike Schauch) and Alexandra Jagfeld received the bronze medal.
Instant Impulse and Julia Schnabel also were the winners of the Western Riding Youth scoring a 216. Make A Whis and Sara D’Imperio (ITA) placed second and RC Ropin Reba and Annairis Müller (SUI) third.
