2009 NRHA/IRHA $150,000 added DERBY: Alessandro Pollarini and Broadway Jaba Lead Non Pro Go Round

Reggio Emilia, 14 May 2009: Excitement built as the 243 non pro riders fought their way to the non pro divisions of the derby finals in the preliminary go round held on May 12-13 in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
With a score of 218.5, Alessandro Pollarini aboard Broadway Jaba, owned by Azienda Agricola Pollarini, led the final rankings of the Euro20.000 added Non Pro division once the go round was over. Alessandro was closely followed by 2009 NRHA European Futurity Non Pro Champions, Claudio Risso and Rs Linkwood Jac, who, along with Anita Ernst riding BH With A Twist, scored a 217.5.
Posting the top score in the Euro10.000 added Intermediate Non Pro division of the Derby, was Anita Ernst from Germany and her mount, followed by Fabio De Iulio and his FB Two Eyed Jac who posted a 215.
German rider Katja Jungfer aboard her Im A Classy Whiz and Italian Andrea Bonadomane riding Arc Tiviolena both scored a 211 and tied to win the first go round of the Euro3.500 Limited Non Pro derby division.
The open finalists of the 2009 edition of the IRHA Derby will be determined today as the second section of the go round is being held. Along with the Derby, a full-slate of NRHA approved classes, valid for qualification to the 2010 NRHA European Affiliate Championships, are being offered and will kick-off today.
