“I’m really looking forward to this Show!”
Kreuth (Germany), March 7-13, 2010
Last Friday was the first deadline for the 2010 NRHA European Futurity. The mega reining event offering a total purse of $ 251,000 added, is scheduled for March 7 to 13, 2010 at the Kreuth facility in Germany. More than 350 horses are expected there as well as the finest international competitors in all levels. In the Open, there will be top riders like Bernard Fonck. The Belgian who won the Open European Futurity last year, has got three fine horses in the Open again: Cattlemans Cash, ND Westcoast Waiting and Gunspinner.
Cattlemans Cash is by Wimpys Little Step out of a Peppy San Badger granddaughter. The horse is owned by owned by BVBA Van Roosbroeck. “We started him as a 2-year- old in our place,” Bernard says. “I showed him last year succesfully in the Belgian and French futurity; he won both futurities. He is a very good minded horse and a big stopper. I like him alot.”
Bernard’s second horse is ND Westcoast Waiting (Westcoast Whiz x mare by Dry Doc). “We also started him as a 2 year old. I took him to a lot of shows last year, just to train and not to show. Just to give him some experience, because he was still a baby last year. Now he is more grown up, and I think he is ready for this show. He is a very smooth horse. I also showed his sister Whiz N Merida, which was a nice show horse, too.” The owner and breeder of this horse is Nathalie Derua.
The third Futurity horse is Gunspinner (Gunner x Be Aech Enterprise-mare), owned by Greenway Stables. Tim Mc Quay trained this horse and showed him at the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma. "Franky just arrived in Europe one week ago,” says Bernard. “He seems to be a very good minded horse. I really like to ride him, and we get along very well.”
”I’m very excited to go to the NRHA European Futurity,” Bernard Fonck adds.” I love riding Futurity horses, and I have three nice horses to show. So I’m looking forward to it very much.
I think it is very good for the whole industrie (breeding, selling, training, ...) that we have a show like the NRHA European Futurity! People will start working more and more towards this show (breeders, trainers, non pros,...). It’s a very positive thing for Europe that we can have a show like this. I’m very happy that we have a show like this!!!!”
Free Entry for Visitors!
The NRHA European Futurity starts with the first Go round on Sunday, March 7, the finals following on March 12 and 13. During the other days, there will be a number of other attractive NRHA classes. For visitors (10,000 watched the European Futurity in 2009), this show is a real festival of reining – especially as entry is free at all days.
Trainers and Breeders’ Point in the Festhalle
When top reining horses and trainers from all over the world meet for the 2010 NRHA European Futurity, this is also a perfect platform for marketing. For 2010, the show management of the NRHA European Futurity created a meeting point for breeders and trainers in the beautiful Festhalle Rieden which is right beside the Ostbayernhalle in Kreuth. Here trainers and breeders find the perfect surroundings to present themselves and their ranches. A 3 x 3 m booth including business card advertisement in the NRHA European Futurity booklet is only EUR 500 (plus VAT). Larger spaces are available as well.
