19 competitors in CRI** so far – Anky Van Grunsven competes for the Netherlands

The 23rd International Western Horse Show in Bremen is scheduled for February 26, 2010 at the AWD Dome. The show should be the first Reining highlight in Germany in 2010. Besides the double-pointed AQHA / DQHA shows and NSBA classes which are approved by AQHA as well, there is the first CRI** in Germany.
19 horses have been nominated so far for this CRI**. The competitors from Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark and Austria include FEI European Champion Nina Lill (Germany), three times NRHA World Champion Open Rudi Kronsteiner (Austria) and two times NRHA World Champion Non Pro Cira Baeck (Belgium)
For the first time, Anky Van Grunsven will ride in a CRI. The multiple Dressage World and European Champion will compete for the Netherlands in order to get her ticket for the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky – this time in the reining saddle.
Ths show starts on Friday at 7 a.m. with the Halter classes. The AQHA Senior Reining and the CRI follow. In the afternoon, there will be the Junior Reining and the NSBA and AQHA approved Western Pleasure, Hunter under Saddle and Trail. The last classes of this day will be the Mohr Life Resort Lawson Bronze Trophy Open and Non Pro. The show will be judged by Jan Boogaerts (Belgium) and Janette Steffl (USA). Deadline of nomination is January 29, 2010.
After Show Party and DQHA Ball
Competitors meet at the Maritim Hotel Bar on Friday evening for the After Show Party. On Saturday, February 27, the annual DQHA Convention will start at 10 a.m. at the Congress Centre of the Maritim Hotel. At 6 p.m. there will be the DQHA Ball honouring the 2009 DQHA Highpoint Champions.
